Sooo I just got waitlisted today! The 27th of April.

I was 'reviewed- decision pending' for, I kid you not, 5 months. And now I have been waitlisted 4 days before the deadline of other universities.

To be honest, I'm very annoyed at McGill right now. They have me waiting for months and then a couple of days before I need to make a decision I get put on the waitlist?!

Also, my grades are way above the average of previous years.

So now I think I'll just accept my offer at UofT and then cancel it again if McGill does decide to give me a spot.

I applied for the Arts Department, anyone else got waitlisted?

The same happened to me in the Science Dept. I was “Reviewed-decision pending” since like February. If I were you I’d wait a little and see what happens, because I got waitlisted, then I sent extra stuff to show them i was really motivated and a week after that I got admitted. And because I was accepted so late, they changed the deadline to May 18th for me…

no I didnt tell them anything, I sent an email to admissions@mcgill.ca asking them my rank in the waiting list and used it to remind them of my grades, my curriculum etc (a kind of mini letter of motivation). I also sent a reference letter from one of my teachers. Although they never replied to any of my emails, I still think it’s worth the try. Pretty sure it helped me getting in.

same, i didn’t do anything they just accepted me and sent me an e-mail. probably had to wait and hear back from a lot of their students. i put in my deposit at NYU but i think i will end up at mcgill.

hey sorry for the late reply, was busy with exams!

Yeah, I’m an international student too. where are you from ? Have you heard back from them? I’m still on the list ummm probably U of S cause I didn’t apply anywhere else lol, was betting on McGill :(

@rhine7 @notatiger what’s a first choice letter? i got waitlisted from my first choice, the faculty of science, and accepted into my second choice of arts and sciences. Im also an international student from the states
