My son applied to Newhouse as his first choice and A&S as second. However, he would only have accepted Newhouse. He was waitlisted for Newhouse with no mention of a&s. Does anyone know how many are typically waitlisted at Newhouse? Is this good that he wasn't rejected at Newhouse and waitlisted for a&s? Not sure how to interpret this.

My D was waitlisted for Sport Management, even though she put down 2nd and 3rd choice. When Guidance counselor called, they said she would have been waitlisted for all three, and based on her application, they decided to waitlist her for her first choice. They would not give any info on waitlisting, other than they do not rank. On Monday she was told she was accepted and off the waitlist, so she is glad she stayed on.

Thank you for that information. Maybe it’s a good sign if you’re waitlisted only to your top choice. In your case, it clearly was. Congratulations to your D!!! How do they notify when they offer a spot?

The admission’s office called. We thought it was a friend pulling a prank, so called the admissions counselor back and found it was true!
