waitlisted... next step suggestions?

On Wednesday I received an email from admissions informing me that I've been been wait-listed for the Retail Management program within The Whitman School of Management. I originally applied for the Dual Enrollment Program for Retail Management (Whitman) and Graphic Design (Newhouse). My second choice was Entrepreneurship (Whitman).

This news was not only disappointing, but disheartening considering that fact that Syracuse is my top choice. Yesterday I decided to send them an email expressing my feelings and my continued interest in attending. At this point, I'm really upset, because I understand that the chances of being admitted from the wait-list is very slim.

I feel completely helpless right now and the only thing I can think of doing is sending in additional information to backup and support my application. Since I'm applying for a business major, I feel that it would be in my best interest to get a letter of recommendation from my economics teacher (I currently have a 99 in the class), a letter of recommendation from my business communications professor (its a college course and I currently have an A), and send a copy of my transcript from my previous college course which was introduction to business (I got a B+).

I was also considering a letter of recommendation from my dean (she knows me very well) Any other ideas of what I should/can do? Here's a basic idea of my stats:

GPA: 3.8 (unweighted)
SAT: 1680 (the weakest part of my application)
ECs: plenty of leadership roles, activities, etc.
