I was recently waitlisted at Wellesley, but if I were accepted, I would really like to go. I’m still waiting on some factors before I send an official letter to Wellesley updating them on my current progress and awards I’ve earned. I have two questions. 1. I am able to pay the full tuition (I didn’t apply for any FA) is that worth mentioning again to Wellesley as incentive to admit me? 2. I live relatively close to Wellesley and I will probably be going to see the school again. Is it worth trying to set up an in person meeting with someone from the office of admissions so I can present myself as a good candidate for Wellesley or should I just send the letter and leave it at that? Thank you!
- The Wellesley admission process is need blind so mentioning your ability to pay full tuition won't help your application.
- Definitely send a letter. But since you live nearby, it can't hurt to visit. Good luck!
