<p>What you said about chance threads are definitely true: Don’t make one, don’t read them. They’re useless, because other people really can’t judge whether or not you get in. Ask technical questions. Great story, great advice!</p>

<p>hi This is a really awesome story and great insight too! I find this story really inspiring cos I was recently deferred by my dream school (an ivy too). I really poured my heart and soul into the application and the result simply shattered my confidence. I started to procrastinate, not wanting to start on any other apps. Then I ran into this one-year-old thread. You may not see this but thank you so much @RockySterling for sharing the story. it really gives me strength to carry on with the stressful app period. And to all other fellow CC ers: good luck to you all and we will all end up somewhere great! </p>
