To those waitlisted take heart two years ago my daughter was in the same situation as you. Accepted at Univ. of Penn.,BC and a bunch of safeties and waitlisted at ND. In the end they did not take anyone off the list. I think the wife and I took it worse then her. In the end it just made her desire to attend ND even greater. And now she is in the class of 09 after transfering last year.

In hindsight it was probably the best thing to happen as it taught her that just because you have great grades, top in the HS class, great references and the like there are always other influences that can change ones plans or affect the future.

Go back and review some of the things that Irish 68178 posted and he gives great advice for those that did'nt get the call the first time around. The key to transfering is to get super grades ( think 3.6 or better in classes that match ND, and a kick butt profile letter),and make them realize they made a bad decision on you the first time around.

Good luck and keep plugging away. It is worth the effort.
