All UC campuses except UCLA and Merced adopted wait lists this year for the applicants who would have been admitted next had there been room. These wait lists will function in the same way as those at private colleges. Students must opt in by April 15 (let the campus that has offered a wait-list space know that they want to remain on that wait list) and students must also send a Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) to a college (UC or other) that has accepted them by the May 1 deadline, as admission from the wait list is uncertain.

University of Washington, Seattle Please?

Thanks for doing this-- so much help,

Is it worth trying for these waitlists? Got into Wellesley Smith Northeastern and Colorado School of Mines but still wishing for a coed liberal arts campus–
These schools are all awesome though–

Your thoughts?

THANK YOU!

Sorry. It is such a ridiculously tough environment.

That said, many, many colleges are actually awesome. I wish we had aimed a little lower and recognized how good the colleges are that are easily accessible instead of ‘reaching for the stars’ quite so much.

If I had it to do over with my d, she had easy access to UT Austin. She did get into a few great schools but none that are any better than that. We could have saved a lot of time trouble and stress and received the same education at half the cost.

I looked but couldn’t find, can you post data for Connecticut College?

UPenn, please.

While they list their Common Data Set, and they say they use a Wait List.
They do not list answers to the number of student offered a place on the wait list or those accepted from it.
