So I got my letter today and was waitlisted. They didn't mention what specific college I was waitlisted. Was I waitlisted on all of the colleges? If they actually checked other colleges I feel that I could have gotten into Human development (I didn't apply to that).

Me too, I applied for CSE but they didn’t mention what college I am being waitlisted. Are you going to write any letter to them or just wait it out?

Yeah, same. Applied to CSE.

@lamquach I think I might speak with a counselor. Also I applied to CSE.

i got wait-listed too. Hope I get accepted in the future lol

Does wait-listed mean that I’m almost accepted? or not?

Wait listed. Moving on.

I was waitlisted too (-_-). Although, I was expecting to get rejected. I sent in my application in September with an essay that wasn’t all that great. My ACT scores weren’t all that either. We’ll see what happens! Good luck everyone!

waitlisted as well

I got waitlisted also. I already committed to another college though so I’m not super upset, but still.

A lot of ppl at my school were waitlisted as well.

I have a friend who was wait-listed to CLA, admitted to CEHD though. How many spots are generally open? And, what are his chances (in-state, 23 ACT, 3.96 GPA, top 7%, first-gen). I know it varies per year, but hopefully there are a few spaces left.

@kenny2012: The lack of a better ACT score and (I’m assuming) AP/Honors classes could put your friend at a disadvantage despite his high GPA and class rank. The #1 in our class rank never took Honors/AP courses and got a similar ACT score (she’s planning to go to community college, not that it’s bad necessarily, but proves my point) so GPA/rank are not everything. It’s hard to say if he can get into the CLA, I would say he’s definitely borderline.

@The rest of the posters: It may help to post your stats and/or when you applied to help others give some opinion to your status. I believe it is entirely possible to be wait-listed for your first choice and admitted to your second choice, though I am not sure if they put you into a third college if both choices are wait-listed.

Yeah, he took all aps/honors and I agree, definitely borderline. Thanks.

I was waitlisted to the CLA but admitted to CFANS, I’m pumped though…the CLA major (economics) was my safe bet financially and what my mind told me to go for but the CFANS major (environmental science/natural resource management) is where my heart is at, so guess it all works out! I am a transfer student btw …

I got waitlisted too. What are the chances of getting accepted now in future?

When do waitlisted people hear back?

April 15th through email, I think. My friend was accepted last week. Good Luck

You might want to look into Applied Econ in CFANS.

Lots of waitlists this year…
