<p>Anyone else offered to be waitlist and accepted? Judging by previous years threads, they don't rank it and just pick whoever they need to fill in the gaps.</p>

<p>I’m pretty sure it’s ranked, but in waves not absolute ranking. I don’t know the actual numbers, but let’s say they break it into four groups: wave 1, wave 2, wave 3, and wave 4. When a certain number of declines come in, they release offers to all of wave 1 at once. When more declines come in, they release offers to all of wave 2, etc.</p>

<p>If you watch this website, you’ll see 5-10 people post on the same day that they came off the waitlist. Two weeks later 5-10 more people will all post on the same day that they came off, etc.</p>

<p>For any other people waitlisted out there, I just got an email (and you you probably did as well) saying that there are 565 people on the waitlist.</p>

<p>their goal is to have 2650 freshman students. </p>

<p>according to the site, they have 2833 freshman students who made a deposit.</p>

<p>i seriously doubt that they would accept any wailisted students this year.</p>

<p>I wonder how Tech will deal with the overcrowded freshmen population this year XP but just like every year, after a year or so many ppl will transfer out.</p>

<p>@BlackBunny103, the numbers are trending the other direction.</p>

<p>More people are staying at GT, with freshmen retention at 95% and sophomore retention at 90%. Those are up 5 and 6 points respectively in the last 10 years. </p>

<p>Oh whoa, good for Tech !! Although I’ve seen many threads on this forum saying how bad Tech is (it’s like GPA killer) and many ppl want to transfer out.</p>

<p>I’ll be a freshman at Tech next year, can’t wait for it XD !!</p>
