Waitlisted....

When should we know if we got off the waitlist at Columbia, specifically the general college? As for my waitlist letter, should I just mention reasons why I'm looking forward to attending Columbia? Among these factors include the city of New York and all the opportunities it has to offer, the intellectual atmosphere, the core, and the strength of the economics department.

Should I mention the ibanking recruitment and Columbia's proximity to Wall Street? I feel like the admissions director reading my waitlist letter (who's probably liberal) may be less inclined to advocate for me if she perceives my intended future career to be "evil?"

bump…

I wrote one of my supplement essays on fiscal conservatism and got in, so I would recommend writing about what you’re passionate about regardless of ideology.

I highly doubt they’ll let personal beliefs extend that far into the application process.

No action off of WLs occurs before mid May.
