Waitlisted?

<p>Hi!</p>

<p>I got waitlisted from my dream college ! I won't get a response UNTIL May 20th so I have accepted SFSU & they said it was OK.</p>

<p>However, I seem to not want to go to my so 'dream college' but when I got waitlisted I had the option to accept my waitlist or decline my waitlist position. </p>

<p>If I do get accepted -- would I be able to decline the offer if I can no longer attend my dream college?</p>

<p>sorry i'm all over the place. Please, any help would be helpful :)</p>

<p>Not exactly sure if I’m reading this correctly, but you seem to be asking “if I accept a position on the waitlist and they later contact me to tell me they have room, must I attend?” The answer is no. You can either decline their offer, or accept it and contact your first school to tell them you won’t be attending after all.</p>
