I've already taken a few classes through CDes. I got an As in all of them.

Why did I get waitlisted? I've been at the U for a year and a half! My first semester of PSEO was rough, but my second and May term were really good and this semester should be at least a B average.

Sorry if I sound rude or belligerent. This really shook my confidence. I'm finishing up several other applications, but haven't applies anywhere else yet. CDes was supposed to be my safety school. It was probably stupid to have the U as my safety, huh?

Anyway, any hints on getting into the U? And tips to get my confidence back? I don't even want to apply anywhere else, because I feel like I'll never get accepted. (Which I understand is just me being a melodramatic teenage girl going through the stress of finals week on top of trying to get into college and plan my entire life.)

Anyone else apply to CDes?

Also, I applied in early October and just heard from them today.

Wow I’m really surprised! If someone with your stats can’t get accepted off the bat who can? I feel like you’ll definitely be accepted off the waitlist (unless they’re insane). I feel like u of m is being harder on in state students this year and it sure shows. Well there’s not much hope for me then. Good Luck.

Last year there were over 35,000 kids applying for 7000 spots so keep working hard and make sure you alert admissions to any new achievements or successes you have during your senior year.

If I may ask, what colleges did you apply to at the U? Also, have yo taken Ap and honors courses?

When did you apply? I know that PSEO students at the U have a 90% acceptance rate to the U for Undergrad. Apply to other schools, because chances are it was not because of your stats, but because of space constraints.
