waitlisted

I got waitlisted to Mcgill.. I don't even understand why because all my grades are great. I'm applying from Jamaica and a bunch of people from school has been accepted with worse grades than me. I think I got waitlisted because Mcgill kept saying they needed all this new info from me last minute making it look like I applied late? Anyway does anyone know when they tell you your decision if waitlisted? help.. also I wanted to change faculties once accepted but now I'm wondering if that's even possible since I'm waitlisted?

Even if you were accepted, its usually not possible to immediately change faculties. You will have to wait until the end of your 1st year at McGill to apply for an inter-faculty transfer.

Because McGill follows a rolling admission process, it is possible you were wait-listed because you submitted your application late. You will most likely receive a decision by the end of this month or the next latest. Wait-lists however, are quite uncertain and chaotic and if you have got in anywhere else, it might be better to accept that offer and start the enrollment procedures.

sigh thanks :(

even if you didnt apply late, because all your documents were submitted later then other peoples, its technically regarded as a late application,

it really sucks but best of luck with the waitlist :frowning: ive heard of people finding out during the first week of august at the latest (although most people hear back earlier) …however nothing can be certain. i would give it until mid-july and if not then i would probably set my eyes on another university

sorry to hear about your dilemma…mcgill is notoriously known for having a tough/stressful application process. best of luck!
