I was placed on the waitlist for a place in the dual program at Martin J. Whitman School of Management and the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. I was wondering if I should request to switch out of the dual program waitlist and into just Newhouse (PR) to increase my chances. Also, as far as financial aid goes, I understand that the majority of the waitlist does not receive a lot of financial aid, but since my major isn’t too ambiguous and my stats aren’t too low, I was wondering what my chances were with that.
SAT: 1870
ACT: 27
Weighted GPA:3.7
Lots of EC’s, good letter of recommendations
I just got accepted from the waitlist today for the College of Arts and Sciences/Maxwell School.
SAT: 1860
Weighted GPA: 3.45
A good amount of ECs
They said they’ll let me know about financial aid tomorrow.
Has any of the students pulled off the waitlist actually received their financial aid package within 24 hours of notification as stated in the email ? thank you
will they notify you by 7PM today ? thanks
I got mine about an hour after they said I would so like 25 hours later.
Did anyone else get their financial aid package? I didn’t get mine today and I’m hoping to get it by tomorrow before I put down a deposit. Thanks
Flats25 How did you receive yours? Email or Myslice? I was accepted yesterday and they said I would have the package the next day too, but I haven’t seen anything.
They emailed me to check MySlice
Its been near 48 hours ,wondering if any others heard about financial aid and how long took .Hoping to get it by today before I put down a heavy deposit on another school . Just curious why they said 24 hours and its been actually 40 hours to this point. Does anybody have any thoughts or has been waiting past 24 ?
I spoke to them this morning. You have to reply to the email to accept admission before they will create a financial aid package. You are not officially accepting admission until you put your deposit down but this tells them that you are still interested.
As per facebook, one student was offered a spot this morning via email
