Did anyone receive a letter recently from SMU about the waitlist? Why in the world would they tell us that our admission will probably never happened? I have never heard of an "unlikely" letter, but this must be it. Oh well...

What does it say? And if you don't mind me asking, what are your stats?

I don't have the letter anymore. Its basic message was that their class (of 2010) seems to be full right now, however, there may be later openings and if you still wish to attend you should send in another waitlist form.

The letter was not very important to me, since I have already decided on another school. I guess they must be trying to discourage most people from continuing on the waitlist. Very blunt, but probably for the best.

hahaha. Well what school did you decide on?

I'm going to Emory University in Atlanta. You?

EMORY?!?! That's awesome. I was waitlisted there. I believe that I am going to SMU, atleast for the first year. If I like it I'll stay, if not, I'll transfer hopefully to Tufts. crosses fingers
