Hey I got into BC too...but i accepted a spot on the waitlist at UVa

I got into Tufts..but Im debating whether to accept a spot on the waitlist..

I still haven't heard from UVA

oh man i feel terrible. I know there are people who are dealing with 5 rejections or more now. but wow, what a feeling. I dont know if i should accept a spot on the waitlist. What if they inform me, that I still couldnt be accepted. I dont think I am strong enough to handle it again. My only dream I have been pursuing has been shattered.

stats:
race- asian applying to engineering instate
SAT i- math 680 verbal- 620
sat II- math I= 700 math II= 700 writing= 660 yet
gpa- 4.32 as of first semester year, but after first semester 4.38 weighted i think... rank 53/488

i guess my sat score is to be blamed

crichessill, my guess would be that it had more to do with your class rank than you sat score. why not accept a spot on the waiting list, you don't want to look back and think "if only I had been on the wait list I might have had the chance to go there"

yea i was waitlisted too and UVA is my first choice so i appreciate all those who are not accepting their place on the waiting list. Can we do anything now to show UVA that they are our first choice and to improve our chances of getting in?

search for waitlist on the UVa site and they tell you everything they seem to think is important. For all of you accepting your spot on the waitlist, good luck. I have to transfer an NROTC scholarship, so witlist is out for me(even though it is my dream school...sigh...).
