Waitlisted :(

Hello,
I got waitlisted from Stern. Can anyone tell me any ways that i can improve my chances of getting off? and what was the number of ppl who got off the waitlist from STERN or NYU as a whole last year?

well you ought to feel special, the waitlist population is apparently very small @ NYU, but I'd suggest waiting for other schools first.

som1, arent u the applicant from pakistan who applied early to Penn without aid?

Eh?? i suppose that was me ..any advice for the dilemma im in...I really wanna go to Stern :(

lol, i ur gonna get off the list, cuz ur international and not asking for aid...and stern;s yield rate is pretty low for a school that's as highly ranked as that, the rate is like 44%....ur prolly gonna be taken off the list

you could greatly increase you chances of getting off by going out and finding yourself a woman to take your mind off all this. it's not worth it! :)

lol Freezenthaw

You probabally can get off of waitlist. Just check how many people aren't choosing stern as their top choices, there will definitely be some substantial amount of space for you waitlisters.

lol thanks freez i appreciate that advice very much :) . But other than that, how can i really improve my chances of getting off the waitlist. Does anyone know anything i can do at this point? I really wanna go to Stern this fall :(

yea..stern has a pretty low yield rate..about 44%

how did u find out?

have your dad or family member make a "generous" donation... it might help if you got some coins to spare

You might get off the waitlist, but the school makes acceptance offers with an eye on the yield rate. It's not like 56% of the spots will become available when accepted students go elsewhere.

thx for ur replies every1. Ill just hope for the best now
