I am, are you? What is going to happen? What are my chances of getting in? Can I do anything to make myself more presentable??

Hi gingerbread,

My D was WL in 2006. She was eventually accepted I think in May. She was one of two accepted. It all depends on how many accept the "acceptance" offer. They always offer more than the spaces they have based on previous experience of fallout. So the year my D applied they only accepted 2 from the WL. I believe you must confirm that you want to stay on the WL. My D composed an email to the admissions advisor at Pepperdine stating how this was definitively her first choice and would accept and offer immediately. She also sent an update on all grades, scores, involvement etc. that would show improvement etc. She also went to her pastor who knew someone who knew someone type of thing who then wrote on her behalf. She stayed in touch with the admissions ofice every couple of weeks...but don't over do!

It is all a numbers games and what happens in the next 30 days.

My D was commited to going Pepperdine or doing a semester at a JC and applying again for the spring. If you have other options that you need to commit to it becomes dificult.

Good luck! I know how hard it is to get this far and then be told you have to wait.

if you don't mind me asking, what are your stats and location? (just curious about how much location plays a part in admissions)
