<p>I have been waitlisted at four schools now: Rice, Carnegie Mellon, Washu, and University of Chicago. For the first three schools I listed, I applied for engineering and for Chicago I intended to major in Physics. So will I be waitlisted at UVa or worse rejected? I applied to the engineering school by the way. Is it very tough to get into UVa engineering? Thanks.</p>
<p>Carnegie Mellon and Chicago are renowned math/engineering schools, so unless you’re really, really great it doesn’t surprise me that you were waitlisted.</p>
<p>I’d say UVA is comparable to Rice in engineering. Are you in-state or OOS? I’m guessing waitlist or admit
