<p>I’m so depressed. Thank god I have a back up school. I think I’m gonna go to UNC if I don’t get into Penn. I guess it’s a really good school too. I shouldn’t be worried. I just need to wallow.</p>
<p>Amadeuic: Definitely, so much of the process is subjective that it really wouldn’t be out of the ordinary to be waitlisted by Duke and accepted into Harvard.</p>
<p>And of course, I too am waitlisted. Got into UVA though, so it’s all good (I just kinda wish I would have gotten either an acceptance or a rejection).</p>
<p>This is sooooooooooooo depressing. This is the last thing I expected. If I would have been rejected I would have been disappointed but not surprised. But wait listing is a way to torture you by saying “you were almost good enough”. The worst part was the letter, “I know this is not the news you were hoping for, but please read on while I explain the waiting list process”. Do they really think I’m so stupid that I need four paragraphs to understand how wait listing works?</p>
<p>4 people from my school got off the wait list last year for Duke… don’t give up hope.</p>
