<p>I just wanted to get this started for all of us waiting patiently on the waitlist so that when we start hearing there's a place to post. Also, I know this waiting is awful, but it's nice to know there are other people in the same position.</p>
<p>How do you feel? Are you still hoping to get into the school that waitlisted you, or are you becoming happy with the school you paid your deposit to?</p>
<p>I'm on the waitlist here, but I have already happily enrolled at Vanderbilt. It will be an interesting situation should Northwestern decide to let me off the wait list. I am very content with Vanderbilt, so it would be a terribly difficult decision to make, not to mention the fact that I have already paid a non-refundable $400 deposit to Vandy. So for me, I will probably stick with the school that I have enrolled at.</p>
<p>I'm waitlisted at Northwestern too, I paid my 600 dollar deposit at Northeastern (funny how that worked out). But if Northwestern accepts me, I'm there in a heartbeat. It's such a weird feeling not knowing what I am doing next year, and having my heart set on something that may not happen.</p>
<p>does anyone know when waitlisted people find out about the decision in the aftermath?</p>

<p>My mom called the admissions office today and someone told her that Northwestern didn't expect to go to the waiting list at all this year. They have enough students enrolled as of right now and they won't consider admitting more students again until after the housing deposit deadline on the 25th.</p>
<p>Is that for every department? Because I know they accept off the waitlist based on majors, so does that mean that every major is filled?</p>
<p>that's possible. i recall on my waitlist letter that if i were to be accepted off wait list, they would put me into whichever college they had available space in. btw it was a very pretentious letter. an immediate turn-off. i'm sure it's an awesome school though. i'm thrilled that i've sent my deposit to tufts. i believe i'll do well there--i loved the pple, the atmosphere all that, plus BOSTON yupp so post of you hear / get in / hear that someone else got in.</p>
<p>I spoke to someone in admissions and they said that no decisions are being made until June.</p>
