Waitlists Statistics

Does anyone know ~how many are waitlisted each year?

Only 6 waitlists were admitted last year, im thinking 500+ people were waitlisted. A waitlist is a nice way of rejecting someone (this coming from me, waitlisted as well).

Though the average was 35 accepted from the waitlist (when they averaged the last five years).

"A waitlist is a nice way of rejecting someone" - aww... that sucks. I hate being on the edge like this - being competitive enough to be seriously considered, but not enough so to get in.

[Sigh]

got waitlisted too

<<<prays>>></prays>

i know, it's frustrating =P oh well. good luck everybody

i was waitlisted too, but for the FU FOundation. Do you guys know the breakdown of waitlist admits between CC and SEAS???

That's detailed on the Columbia website.

It seems like they waitlist way more people than they intend to accept.
