I am hearing of a lot of students getting off of waitlists at some top colleges this year. Unbelievable numbers like 4 from one HS getting into Georgetown. Some schools who almost never go to waitlists have already gone (some even before May 1).
So the questions are? Are you also seeing this with your HS seniors and their classmates? Do you think this is driven by more kids going to local schools or taking a gap year or semester because of the pandemic? Do you think it is driven by foreign students who are not enrolling despite being accepted because of the uncertainty right now of them being able to travel to the US in the fall and get the required permission to live here?
