chowsx, when did they open up 10 more seats? i registered at 11:20 am and there were still 30 seats. they put me on waitlist and i was wondering whether i got the class if they did open those 10 seats after i signed up. it shows up that im still waitlisted for chem -__-

Sorry if I stray from the questions at hand, but are the pre-planner waitlists accurate? Because as of now, I am going to be waitlisted in ALL of my classes…And I begin enrollment tomorrow.

I think they are. I was trying to use them at the same time I was enrolling to see how it would look and I think they updated on the spot. Sorry to hear that you’re waitlisted for all your classes though. Do all schools do it this way for freshman? lol

The same thing happened to me as @socalsoccerdude. I waitliste chem6a this morning when there were only 30 seats and was #3 on the waitlist. Now there are 40 seats and I’m still on the waitlist but #2. what the heck is going on? I thought the waitlist was automatic and the next person on the list would get in?

man, i feel like contacting the school to figure out whether or not we made it. i mean, if they did open 10 more seats, surely we should be in it already…

@Chemistrylover: if that was the case, later registration date people will be waitlisted for all of their classes. assuming they open more slots so there would be a little more balance

to answer when they opened more chem 6a, i guess around 3pm yesterdat? (PST)

idk i was sleeping at that time (hahaha) and i saw someone’s post on another topic here.
and i checked, and voila.
i wa slike DANGIT i could switch haha.

but i guess they add more seats randomly? like at non specific times.

I wonder how many seats they open last year, because it doesn’t seem sane to not make the capacity to at least 60 or something. Because think about it: why did they recommend so many people to take chemistry if half the school can’t get in anyway?

Idk but I just feel like they’re lying to is about the waitlist process.

ok, if they did open up by around the 3 pm PST area, then shouldnt me and the other waitlisted people be already in if we signed up before that time? oh, and i like the fact that some chemistry classes are waitlisted to #14. haha

^i think they opened up more spots to give later registees an equal opportunity for classes. And now sailor even has a class with 15 waitlists. hahaha omgg, this is so ridiculous :/

The discussion section classrooms don’t fit 60 people. And yeah the advisors recommended it to a lot of people but it’s just a recommendation. You don’t have to take it this quarter.

^I’ve lost all hope for taking chem 6A and the advisors haven’t helped me at all in what to take instead, do you think it’d be ok for me to just take 3 classes (MMW1, JAPANESE 10A, MATH 20B) instead of 4?

yeah, it’s fine. as long as you are taking 12 units, you are fine.

since the councellors are not helping me out much either I’m planning to just sign up for physics before it’s too late.

@pinkberry

I would recommend finding another required class to take. You can always drop a class if it’s too hard, but it’s harder to add a class if you feel like your schedule is too easy.

I got a 4 on the apchem exam, and I never took AP Bio. Am I allowed to take Bild 1 my first quarter?

^Yes. 10char

@$KingsElite$,
and how exactly do you know this? is there any reference that you could give?
