That's weird my.ucdavis.edu site doesn't list my waitlist number. Sisweb does =) Oh well.. I've moved up to position 14! Yay. I do agree that if you're on a waitlist to have backups ready.

Nevermind - I edited My Classes on my.ucdavis and its listing my waitlist number. Thanks though =) I forgot all about that page.

You should be fine for that.

You have to actually be registered (not waitlisted) for a class for it to show up as credits.

Freshmen seminars count for credits towards graduation, and for the quarter you take it, but if you take it P/NP it won't be factored in to your GPA.

In my experience, I've never not gotten into a class that I've been waitlisted for. Professors are usually pretty accomadating, though I suppose it depends on the size of the class. It's best just not to worry too much right now. Have a backup, definitely, but it's still early in the month and people still have a lot of schedule changing to do. And for first week or so of school people are adding and dropping like crazy. So it's a bit unpredictable, but the trick is just not to worry about it too much right now. Things always work themselves out once the schoolyear gets going.

Thank you CptJackHarkness/b and **swifty27 for the clarification!

I'm waitlisted in three classes, one in position 1 and two in position 2.
Do you guys think it's too risky? I'm trying not to worry too much though, since swifty27 pointed out that people tend to drop classes in the first week of school.

Just have backups.

I have a backup class i'm excited about =P but I've been keeping an eye on the class I'm waitlisted for and since I've signed up I've moved up 2 spots everyday so far. I'm not too worried though either way I've gotten the majority of the classes I wanted and my backup class sounds fun.
