<p>is it true that if you dont waive your right to view recommendation letters, colleges think that you're pressuring the teachers/counselors to give you a good recommendation and dont give it as much value or think it might be a lie?</p>
<p>if the teacher accepts to sign an un-waived reccomendation, it means he has no problem with such a possible pressuring = it's ok with him = what he would do anyway, so I don't see why colleges would even take note of it.</p>
<p>The waiving thing is just for colleges to know if they're allowed to show you the rec after you are admitted. It has nothing to do with what happens before they admit you.</p>
