Waiving SHIP

So Im pretty sure I sent a form online waiving ship around 2 weeks ago but I just got an email today telling me about the insurance deadlines. How do i know for sure if I waived it or not?

log on to URSA
under the “financial” column, select BruinBill Accounts (BAR)
Select student account and change the billing period from September to August
at the bottom of the current month transactions, it should say “FALL WAIVE USHIP (310)794-5614” with nothing in the charges/refund column and “-362.38” in the payments column.

Yeah, I got the email too and I waived SHIP (shows up on URSA). It’s no big deal but you can check URSA to be safe.

thanks! i love college confidential

so if we have finaid, and waive SHIP, do we get that money back? or is that taken into account when we get finaid? would we get the whole amount back?

thanks

If your SHIP was paid with grants, then the money goes back to UCLA. If it was paid with loans or outside scholarship money, then the money gets refunded to you.

well, i waved ship. and i got my money back, or so it says in the refund. all of last year they gave it back to me, and it was covered by scholarships. so i think they should give you the money.
