Should have very good recs

I know my SAT is low but hoping my rank and gpa will make up for it.
Other school suggestions appreciated.

id be interested in hearing this too

I think you should have a good shot. Your rank and GPA are definately going to help you. If you retake in October and get in the mid-1300's, that will improve your chances a lot.
BTW your SAT is 1930 not 1910 ;)

u have a class of 1092 students???

how big is ur high school?

I think you have a good shot. I'm thinking that that rank is going to be sweet music to the adcoms ears too. Try bringing up that SAT though.

im not trying to take anything away from his rank, i think its extremely impressive...but i dont see how it really makes a difference, i mean at my school, his scores would probably put him in 3rd decile at best, so how can colleges use this type of situation and make it a part of the admissions process.

Again, excellent job on the rank though.

my high school has about 3,300 students and thats only grades 10-12 the freshmen are all still in middle schools. what do u mean doogie by 3rd decile for me at your school? thanks for all the replies.

Doogie-who are you to say how competitive a school is. How do you know, maybe his school is harder than yours. All schools grade and weight things differently. That really wasn't called for :

i didnt comment on how competative his school was...read my post again, i simple asked how ranking can be used, and where his scores would land him in my school.

be a little more vigilant next time will.

so all A's in everyone of my classes would put me in the 3rd decile?

well im not gonna comment based on ur GPA cause im not familiar with ur scoring, but in my school, the GPA/SAT distribution is pretty much even...ur scores would be equal to the students in the 3rd decile at my school...listen man dont get all defensive, its my school not yours, why does it matter anyway, ur doing amazing in ur school. Thats all that matters, correct?

"why does it matter anyway"
exactly, so don't mention it ;)

BTW:
how do you know the SAT's of your classmates? At my school no one really talks about it. The only kids scores I heard were the kids that got the 1400's...on the new test :)

But no hard feelings doogie :)

yup, they are posted outside the GC's office ;) ahaha, ya the kids in my school are so competative with eachother its disguisting

what school in southeast pa has that many kids in it
