Was fortunate enough to tour Wake Forest last week. What an amazing campus!! It was the first time I have visited where there were students on campus and it makes ALL the difference. What is not part of the tour but I would recommend every potential STEM student see is the Wake Downtown campus. The facilities are amazing!! There are so many Wake buildings in WS.
Was curious if any current students can give insight into their time spent at Wake Downtown. Do you truly spend your entire day there? Is admission to Wake more difficult if I intend to be a science/bio major?
You don’ spend all day there as you obviously have other classes. There is a shuttle that goes back and forth. Social Sciences and Business are more popular majors so I don’t see it making it more difficult regarding acceptance. You don’t declare are major until you are a Junior anyway. My daughter who is a freshman, best friend’s mom runs the show there so I can probably get you more information if you need it. They should be stopping by in a couple days on the way back to school from the beach. There is a STEM related pre-orientation that my daughter attended that was really good and she got to move into her dorm early. They have lots of other pre-orientation programs too.
