I am also curious about this. I have heard that it could be either the Friday (2/11/22) before or the 14th as it has been in recent years.
Very possible but they are still saying the 15th.
I know I may be asking a lot, but hoping I could get some feedback on my RD chances at Wake. It truly is my first choice and I hope I didn’t ruin my chances by not applying ED since, at the time, playing D3 soccer was still a consideration until after the deadline. Any feedback would be appreciated:

Very solid. RD is uncertain due to volume of applicants.I’d say you have an argument that TO would have benefited you. Believe you’ll see 1500~ as ave for RD. It’ll be the weak aspect of the application but gpa can offset that. Also believe your awards are above ave.( going to say deferred based on no hooks and <1500 SAT since it was submitted. I’d like others to comment tho- I expect deferred status with 4.9,4.7,1510,1/200. But idk…GL
4.0 vs 4.9 typo
I think your stats are very solid and I would predict your chances of being accepted are significantly high.
Still, if you are worried about it, I don’t think it would hurt to reach out to your admissions counselor to stay engaged, and let them know of any major accomplishments from now up until April. They are going to be the ones advocating for you. You could also sign up for a tour if its available to you, and basically do everything you can to let the admissions board at Wake know that it’s your first choice. I believe they offer some virtual Zoom information sessions if you check their website. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe demonstrated interest has an impact at Wake.
Regardless of if you are accepted or not, know that you will end up where you are supposed to. You are so worthy and no acceptance or rejection from a university changes that!
Wake is also my top choice school. I was deferred back in December after applying Early Decision and it’s been pretty hard for me. I’ve been doing everything in my power to get accepted Regular Decision, but if I don’t get into Wake then maybe it just isn’t the school I’m meant to go to.
I wish you the absolute best of luck. Be proud of your stats!
Thank you so much for the very kind words. I wish you the best of luck as well.
Did anyone get a greeting text message from a current student? Generic introduction to learn more about the student experience?
I haven’t, but I think I opted out of messaging. Tons of schools do that though, doesn’t mean anything in terms of admission chances.
Any recollection what time they released last year?
I think they send out 12th last year, and the year before is 14th.
Please update if anyone finds out about ED2 announcement for this year. In 2020 it was around 7 pm est.
I called admissions yesterday and they said kids should start checking their emails and portals throughout the week…
I think it should be this Friday 'cause for the last two years, they send out on Friday.
Does anyone know whether RD decisions come out around the same time as ED2? Or are they later? Thanks.
Definitely later. I think it will come out around March 20th.
has anyone heard back about interviews for merit scholarships or anything like that?
Have not heard anything but a friend called today and they said all finalists should be notified by the end of this week. I think it’s a slim shot for us but would be a nice surprise.
Thank you! Yeah, fingers crossed we will hear some good news
ED2 comes out Friday
