Hello! My daughter applied ED to Wake Forest on July 11. Her high school also got everything in (recommendations, transcript, etc.) on that date. Moments after applying, she received an email that said “We’ve received your application to Wake Forest, and we’re glad you’ve submitted it Early Decision. Your doing so shows not only an admirable degree of time management and planning but also of your enthusiasm for and commitment to our university since, if you’re accepted, you’ve pledged to enroll here in the fall term.” Because she applied so early, she used the Wake Forest Application, NOT the common app. On her Wake Forest portal, it says that everything she needed to submit was received, and there are green checks next to everything. Has my daughter done everything she needed to do? Has Wake Forest received all the necessary parts to her application? When should she expect to hear back?
Yes as long as there are green checks then everything is submitted. I had everything submitted by June 5th and still haven’t heard back yet it’s been nine weeks. I called and they said it’s just taking a bit longer so I’m not sure as to how long the wait will be.
We heard back three weeks after everything had been submitted.
My son is at Wake, class of '22. Don’t fret if you don’t hear back right away. The new freshmen just arrived on campus yesterday, Orientation is happening now, and first week of classes next week. A lot happening on campus right now and Admissions is involved in all of it. I was in this Forum when my son applied and some students heard back more quickly than others. Many waited 8-10 weeks and still got in. .
My daughter submitted her Application over 6 weeks ago and still no reply. It looks like those who were rejected wait longer for a reply. Should we assume she was rejected?
