Hey everyone,
Has anyone received any information on logging into a portal for Fall 2017 transfer admissions?
Hey everyone,
Has anyone received any information on logging into a portal for Fall 2017 transfer admissions?
They are revamping the technology for their admissions systems so there will be no portals this season. They will mail out their acceptances, according to the assistant director of admissions. So we have to sit tight and wait.
I just got accepted as a sophomore transfer on tuesday. Good luck.
Congratulations @watermychances ! What were your stats like?
Also, where do live @watermychances ?
College:
I live in California and go to a UC school (not UCLA or Berkeley but not Riverside or Merced either). I have 3 full quarters of coursework at college completed, but Wake accepted me before they received my winter quarter (3rd quarter) grades. I have a 4.0 gpa w/ A’s/A+'s in 3 chem classes, 2 chem labs, 1 bio class, 1 calc class, 1 writing class, 1 environmental science class, and 1 psych class. I’m in my spring quarter and I’m currently taking 2 bio classes and a calc class. By the end of the year I’ll be done with my chem, bio, calc and writing requirements.
HS:
My HS stats were pretty poor. 3.2 uw gpa, 3.4w but there were some health issues that I dealt with that I feel impacted my grades. I talked about those in my additional info essay.
SAT/ACT:
I sent my SAT and ACT scores. I got a 2100 superscored SAT and a 30 or a 31 on my ACT.
ECs:
Nothing otherworldly. I played varsity soccer/baseball in HS and I play intramural sports in college now. Model UN, Habitat for Humanity (in HS) and 2 major related clubs in college.
I applied for a major biology w/ a minor in Neuroscience (5 year Neuroscience master’s program that I’m super interested in). I’m really stoked to get in and I was really surprised I heard back so early. I was expecting a decision in May. Hope you guys get in!
Did you get an email or letter?
My parents ended up getting a letter either Monday night or over the weekend. I got a “congratulation, you’re accepted” type of email on Tuesday. The admission packet looks like a typical college junk mail packet, it’s not an envelope, don’t throw it away! Good luck everyone.
@watermychances did you get an email from them saying that they needed your final college transcript? I actually was accepted to Wake last year. Also when did you submit your application?
@stuckonthisearth That was part of one of the letters I received in my mailed acceptance packet. I haven’t really received much via email. I submitted my application early February. Do you go there now?
@watermychances no I was unable to go. But I’m hoping to be readmitted. Did they ask you for your final spring semester grades?
@watermychances thanks for the feedback! Good luck all.
Anyone else hear from Wake yet?
@wakeorrichmond no. I was thinking about calling/emailing them because I kind of need a decision before May 1 because I need to respond to another school.
@stuckonthisearth I am in the same situation, I plan on sending an email later this week
@wakeorrichmond did they ask you to send your spring semester grades?
@watermychances did you receive an email that notified you that your application was complete? I sent my app in 4/1 and haven’t received any sort of confirmation that my app’s been received.
I got an email from Sue Simpson the day after I submitted my commonapp that my application was complete. I’m pretty sure I sent my college/highschool grades before I submitted the commonapp, so my application would’ve been complete but I can’t say w/ 100% assurance.
I just called WFU to check if my application was missing anything and they told me my application was complete and was “in review.”
Can anyone tell me my chances of admission to transfer?
I know admissions should be coming out in the next two weeks, but I am getting super nervous.
