I think that’s normal. I didn’t get an email either, but you could check in the portal whether or not it was received @OnlySon2022
@jfox12 Thank you for this information. Feeling paranoid here because another school released decisions last Friday and tweeted “all decisions released,” except for my son’s application. This school (will remain un-named) “overlooked” my son’s application. My son had to call them on Monday.
i got in!!! best luck for everyone who’s still waiting on their decisions
has anyone seen anything on informed delivery?
No word yet in for D in NJ
33 ACT (34 super)
3.8 UW GPA - all honors and AP classes
11 varsity letters, NHS and a lot of EC
accepted Emory, Umich, Villanova, Lehigh and RU Honors, waitlisted BC
Also, did not interview and starting to worry about that
@scooby18 would your daughter take Wake over Michigan? I understand totally different school environments, but interested because those are among the ones my daughter is picking form and of those two she’s leaning Michigan. Just so many questions for them to resolve in the next 30 days.
Are all decisions coming via Priority Mail or only acceptances?
Not sure if any are interested in this kind of data but I found a site that supposedly has some detail that I had not seen before. I typically don’t like to look at things like this as expectation is a horrible thing to have but hey, it is that time of year https://www.collegedata.com/cs/data/college/college_pg02_tmpl.jhtml?schoolId=1575 The fall admissions profile I am assuming was from last year.
We’re having a difficult time deciding between MI, WF and UF (Florida resident). Our kid really likes WF, mom went to MI, dad likes UF price. Finding yellow sticky notes around the house letting me know that I’m “frugal” (I wish they had used such a nice word!).
^^^ Feel for you. Also a FL resident and had to make a similar decision (without MI in the mix). S was accepted in to FL Honors (which is nice but not a huge differentiator like it is at other schools - although they do get honors housing). Very low cost at UF vs. full pay at Wake. We went full pay at Wake and haven’t looked back. They are so different in so many ways we just felt it was worth the investment. A year (basically) in and I’m glad we did. It’s really apples and oranges. Didn’t really care about the cost of the apple, we wanted an orange.
Feel free to PM me if you want any specifics.
Still nothing here in Michigan… mail seems to be slow moving in the midwest. If I get into Wake, I will be deciding between Umich and WFU. One thing I can say is WFU has way nicer weather. Walking through 6-12 inches of snow in -15 degree weather is not ideal for me! I even live in Michigan and cannot stand the cold weather and snow!
@byeretirement I honestly am not sure what she is going to choose. Right now Wake is not an option since we have not heard anything yet. Her options are interesting and could definitely make a case for each school. If I had to guess I think she picks Umich. She really likes a lot of school spirit, an active and vibrant campus, and strong in health sciences.
@scooby18 sound like you’re describing my daughter. My D did the umich accepted day earlier this week and said it was great, that the school spirit was very evident and that the research opportunities and facilities without rivals. She did complain about the bitter cold.
Mail arrive in Nashville…still nothing from Wake! Why can’t they just post it online?!
@montanascout exactly. It’s pretty archaic. Makes me think…and I want to go to school here? Ha.
So…just out of curiosity, I looked at the thread from last year. Letters were mailed out on 3/23 and the last acceptance message I saw was on 3/30. Interestingly, there seemed to be a lot more waitlist/rejection comments early on and I am not seeing that this year. Don’t know if that is significant at all. Anyway, guess there is still hope. Good luck!
Accepted! In Georgia. Didn’t come in black and gold envelope. Came in 8 1/2 x 11" package with multiple people on front and back. Under mailing address and name before I even opened package it said. Congratulations!
Thanks @marky47 … there is still hope!
Still no word north of Boston. It’s maddening!
