I know it’s early, but I thought I would start a new thread for Regular Decision, class of 2024.
I wonder when RD decisions come out? My son knows the decision dates for his other possible schools. Are decisions mailed or do they go through a portal?
My DD19 received her acceptance letter/package by regular mail on 3/25/19, although the acceptance letter was dated 4/1/19. I believe it was posted on the portal around 4/1/19. So some found out by mail before portal, and some by portal before mail, depending where they are located (we are in NJ).
I think the notification process may be different this year. There is a new vice president of enrollment.
DD recieved her RD notification of acceptance by mail in late March three years ago, and the portal wasn’t updated until April.
DS applied ED this year. We were waiting for a letter, and he came downstairs and excitedly said, “I got in!” His acceptance letter was posted on the portal, and the admissions packet arrived by mail two days later.
I don’t know if that is a change or not since DD applied RD, but the snail mail notification has been a source of anxiety and consternation for many years.
WFU admissions always post to social media when they load the mail truck, so that will be a cue to check the portal.
Good luck, everyone. Go Deacs!
Decisions via portal would be great!
I’m sorta curious what kinds of communications RD applicants have been receiving from WFU lately? My S has received a few emails about summer programs, but not much else. Nothing directly from admissions that I’m aware of. Also curious if applicants have seen any changes to their portals and/or received requests for mid-year grades/reports yet??
@aewlmom have not received any requests for mid-year grades yet. Portal seems to be the same.
Please chance me for Regular decision!

@aewlmom Only email received recently was about the Global Awakenings First year Abroad program
Mid term transcript status isn’t listed on portal, however, I called today and the lady said that they got mine.
A few years ago my brother heard on April 1st. I thought they were evaluated on a rolling basis though? I don’t want to wait until then!
Today they sent out an email notifying students for merit-based scholarship finalist weekend. Congratulations to everyone who received one.
Can you elaborate on what todays email said/indicated ?? Dates of the weekend and specifics ??
Congratulations !!
Did you have to apply to the scholarship?
@daisy1462 Rolling is ONLY for ED decisions. For RD, it’s around April 1st, sometimes it seems from comments to be late March,
@Tvgirl8900 Can you elaborate which scholarships notifications were sent out for. There are two separate types - the Presidential one that students needed a separate application for and the ones that they judge off of the application, if turned in by December 1st (I think, or maybe December 15…I’m getting confused on the deadlines of different schools & I don’t have that handy.) Thanks!
Since we are all in a “waiting game” with Wake, where else have you applied? What is it about Wake that you like the most??
@ArbonneMom I didn’t apply to the Presidential so I am not sure what that process looks like.
@Tigger2020 I believe that the Presidential Scholarship is the only one that requires a separate application and was under the talent based scholarship application that was due on November 15th.
anyone willing to give me my chances?
