Congratulations, @UGG2023! You must be happy to have a decision. I’m hoping my son doesn’t stretch this out much longer.
For those students that went to Campus Day on April 5th, where is the best place to park? In the lot behind Wait Chapel? Any other advice or helpful hints? I’m attending on April 12th. Thanks in advance.
@wfu2023 we parked in lot P, which was a 10 min walk to Wait. We went off campus for lunch and when we returned we were able to park much closer to Wait on the grass. We regretted not having a printed campus map when we arrived because we got lost/confused and drove around in circles, LOL. I think Wake will e-mail you which parking lots to use, but find them on the map first to avoid our mistake. Bring a tote or bag to carry the folder they will give you, bring bottled water as they didn’t give out any. Arrive early, it was pretty crowded…
@UGG2023 Thank you!
@UGG2023 congrats!
^ Yes Welcome to The Forest! You’re going to love it.
Am I the only one who didn’t receive any financial info yet? Wondering if I need to call. Lol we did receive 1 page of what I believe was supposed to be the Wake Forest Magazine …it is just the back page and it says “received damaged!”
We are still waiting for financial info as well. In Texas…
Looks like rain for this Friday’s Campus Day too.
@mlh0752 did you get anything? Nothing here so looks like a trip to the FA office is on my agenda. @UGG2023 nooooooo!
@2kidz2college No, we did not. Will be there this weekend so checking with the FA office.
I would love to hear impressions of those attending Campus Day tomorrow. Please report back and have a good visit!
How was Campus Day today? Anyone who was not already committed to Wake decide to attend??
Heard it rained again today through the Daily Deac. For those of you who are committed and don’t get this blog is has been a wealth of knowledge for me. Here is a link for those of you who would like to check it out or might like to sign up.

My daughter confirmed with her visit that she loves Wake and that she sees herself there. She plans to commit (she would have done so as soon as we returned to the hotel but I wanted her to at least return home lol).
@2kidz2college Welcome to the Forest!!
@2kidz2college Great news! So I can assume you all had a good day!!
My s committed last night. Wake day was nothing special to be honest, but Wake sells itself. The 2 sessions in the chapel were a bit boring. Our seminar with the dean of business was excellent - she was so personable and funny, made the trip worth it. We went off on our own to Reynaldo village, just off campus (2 minute walk) and met some students. One was from around us in CT. They all love Wake and were very nice.
What Wake should do is what Dartmouth does - has a special social with the accepted students and current students on Thursday night. It’s a nice touch and a chance to meet the students.
Of course, Wake let in nobody from the waitlist last year, so I guess how they do it works. Again, Wake in itself sells itself
Does anyone have an opinion or perspective on what Wake is like for students that decide not to go Greek?
I think greek or non-greek doesn’t matter to the students. They don’t have live-in houses at least on campus, just meeting places. I think the feel is it’s more like another social organization. I would honestly say it’s a non-factor
