<p>In August, I'll be a senior. And with being a senior follows college applications.
I live in North Carolina. WFU is my top-choice. I'm wanting to know my chances. Or other schools that would be fitting for me.</p>
<p>I've made straight As all through Sophomore and Junior years. Freshman year, I had a lot of family troubles, so I didn't do as well; I made 6 Bs. All together, my unweighted GPA is 3.75. Weighted is a 4.5.
So far, this year, my Junior year, I took one AP class. AP Calculus.
I've taken every Honors course I've been offered thus far. Senior year, I'm signed up for 4 APs. Hopefully, I'll continue making nothing less than As throughout my senior year.
I took the SAT in January. I didn't do so well, 1390. To be quite honest, though, I was having a terrible day. (I know, you're probably thinking 'Excuses, Excuses.' But I really was.) However, I am retaking it in October. I believe I can pull it up greatly. Fortunately though, my college advisor said Wake is SAT optional so I had high chances of getting in there, if I didn't send my SAT score.
I am from a low-income family. My sister has Cerebral Palsy. I have had one detention and one ISS. The reason? Tardiness. When you live with a high school sister that has CP, it's very difficult to always arrive at school on time. Unless you want to wake up at 5 AM everyday. After I got ISS, though, my mother went to the school and I got a permanent note for my tardies. Keep in mind, this was only my freshman/sophomore years. My Junior year, I was able to drive to school, and I wasn't tardy at all.
I only have around 20 hours of Volunteer Hours. Sophomore year, I was in the Key Club, Beta Club, and ImagePlayers. Junior year, I was in the Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta Club, and Spanish Club. Senior year, I plan on being in the Beta Club, Spanish Club, Volunteen Club, and I am going to be the VP of Mu Alpha Theta. I was a Junior Marshal this year. (Top 11 ranks out of a class of over 250.)
I plan on doing the webcam interview, soon, hopefully. I haven't really checked into that too much, but I know, more than likely, I will be doing it.</p>
<p>What do you think? Do I have a chance?
Are there any other top schools I should apply for? If so, please, recommend whichever college you have in mind.</p>
