@chy527 all I can say to that is “wow”. Chin up. A better fit awaits you.
Wait listed! Shocked but not upset. I had a great interview and I thought my application was great too (I spent a lot of time completing it) but I was just admitted to Johns Hopkins so I’m not bitter at all. Congrats to all accepted! Have a great time!
Still no word in today’s mail. Amazing.
So my daughter isn’t home but I’m looking at a small envelope on the kitchen counter so I know it’s not an acceptance but it’s a little thicker than a 1 page letter so I’m hoping waitlist – any thoughts?
@sunnydaydream thats probably what it is mine was like that
@leigh322 thanks makes the waiting a little easier
Waitlisted. Unbelievable, really. So sad for my D and this process.
Still no mail from Wake Forest in the Tampa area…
Wait listed in Miami
My D got waitlisted and we are in shock…she just got into USC, Michigan and is in BC Carroll School of Mgmt… She has been to campus twice, had a great interview, and has shown a ton of interest. Sent her scores which are high for their range but they may not really care about scores being they are test optional? Anyway, it makes the decision easier…she was going to visit again if she got in (I almost booked the flight because I was so sure she would!), but now she will not. They must have taken a ton of kids ED. We are very surprised but totally fine. Wasn’t meant to be.
anyone in the new england area hear?
im from newengland! 40 mins north of boston! i got waitlisted!
@collegemomjam is your d accepting a place off the waitlist??
Wait listed here too. My son is in at BC and Michigan and UVA OSS. He has a 34 ACT, 3.9 (UW), all 5s on his AP tests, lots of ecs, captain of two teams, and goes to a magnet school and top school in our state. This process is so unpredictable – he was wait listed at Tulane too! We toured Wake in October and they didn’t have any interview spots available, and then the skype ones were gone by November. Maybe the lack of interview hurt him…
@vivalastool12 i’m in ct and got my letter today
@rainydayzzzz I don’t think she will accept the spot. She loves Wake but didn’t like the idea of having to wait until sophomore year to find out if she gets into the B school…BC is a sure thing and honestly more highly ranked and regarded, at least in the northeast. So with all of that said, I think she will not but she is still deciding.
Son got waitlisted too from Midwest. Seems like it must be a huge list. Wonder if they actually deny anyone or if everyone just goes on the waitlist. Thinking maybe it’s the new strategy in enrollment management? FWIW, he had a 33 ACT, 3.6u/4.25w GPA in an honors program and excellent activities. We visited twice (once for tour/once for interview.) He won’t be pursuing the waitlist. Had already decided to go elsewhere where he received a very generous financial package, so not troubled with this outcome, just curious.
@JJdad3 thanks for the note…I can’t figure out how to reply but will try that too…your son sounds incredibly qualified and I am shocked he also got wait listed. They maybe think that he wouldn’t have come anyway? My D thinks that their wait list pitch might be a way for them to gauge who really wants to come and who doesn’t which might be a fair assessment. In any case, I hope your son chooses BC…I am an alum myself and it really is an amazing place and so full of school spirit, he won’t regret it. And Boston is a great city. Good luck to him and congrats on his success!
still waiting for my mail haha, but judging from all the waitlists it sounds like thats where i’m headed as well! 3.7 uw/4.25 weighted, 2250 sat. Had a pretty great interview when i visited, so guessing i’m on the waitlist!
aaaand i called it lol #waitlist
