And yes, if you’re planning on doing pre-med…seriously Wake shouldn’t even be on your list. They’ll tell you during orientation 82% comes in premed, 10% graduates premed…and as a med student, I can easily count the number among those 10% who actually made it to med school…why? not because they’re dumb, but because Wake screws you over GPA wise when it comes to the science courses! So, if you want to go into medicine, I’m serious, stay away.

does anyone know where Saturnineman ended up? And if he or she is happy with their choice?

^^^^liteblueprincess,

Doesn’t Wake Forest have a feeder program for qualified undergrads? Going from memory here but keeping a 3.5 gpa up through the junior year and you can go to the medical school there? Is it that hard to get a 3.5? If you’re good at science and math going in, how hard can it be to do well in the sciences there?

thanks,

the ks.

I haven’t gotten on here in forever… I ended up going to UNC Chapel Hill. Sometimes I find myself I had gone to Wake Forest or Bowdoin (my first choice but out of the question in terms of cost). I do not regret my decision in coming to UNC, though. I think both schools are great for different reasons, and there’s great opportunities at both. I thought I would not like the number of people at UNC but it’s actually not a big deal. I see people I know every day. The academics at both schools are challenging but rewarding. I’m probably not helping, haha, but that’s my answer.

Glad to hear an update – I hope you are enjoying UNC very much. Wish you had picked Wake but it’s great that you are happy! That’s all that matters anyway (:
