Wake laptops

I'll be a freshman this fall. On WFU.EDU it says that I may not install any other software on the supplied computers. Is this so? I make spending money with Party Poker and can't afford to stop.

No one listens to that rule. You just have to accept that if something happens to your computer and Wake has to restore it, you'll have to put all your stuff back on yourself because Wake will only reload what it has put on the computer (though they'll try to recover your files and things like that and put them back on the computer when they're reloading their software).

That's fair.

where does it say that? i don't recall that being on the agreement i signed.

never mind, i found where it says that. it looks more like a suggestion than a rule. i got the impression that they wouldn't do anything about it if you did decide to install other software.

I've installed numerous software titles (firefox, etc.) and no problems here. Besides, it's not like they're going to check.

"I make spending money with Party Poker and can't afford to stop."

roflmao - thats great. any good indian casino's near wake? i'm taking wake rookie

I avoid casino's and stock market. Don't believe in gambling. :)
But I can make a pretty steady $13/hour with online poker. Not getting rich, but it beats flipping burgers.

I live off Party Poker as well. My stats program shows an average of about $24/hour, which beats any job I could have at the moment.

Sorry for the double post, but I also am wondering if there are any nearby Indian Casinos?

Ummm... well there's Cherokee in the mountains, but I'm not sure how far a drive that is. I believe that Emsibdn lives closer to Winston than I do (I'm about two hours to the southwest), so we might have a better clue about how long it'd take to get there.

cherokee's three or four hours away at least.
