Which would you consider harder to get into?

I just got into GW yesterday and am hoping for good news from Wake Forest whenever the letter arrives. I mean Wake Forest is ranked higher nationally, but you know that doesn’t mean much. And it is hard to compare considering I have never seen anything where Wake lists their SAT scores. If you have seen that before, post a link. I would still say Wake Forest is probably more competitive.

Wake by far. I got into GW as well. I think it depends where you’re from though – and obviously each school is looking for different things. Wake’s interview process (I didn’t get a GW interview) is probably one of the main admissions differences I can think of between these two schools.

A California perspective–alot of people have heard of GW, but based on what I know about it, and the stuents I’ve known who have been accepted to WFU and GW, I would definitely see WFU as more selective.

I have lived at both schools (spent a summer as an intern living at the West End at GW’s Foggy Bottom campus). GW was so much fun, but Wake Forest offers so much more as far as campus life and social opportunities. It is a much more “traditional” college experience. Plus, you can always intern for a summer or semester in D.C., which is great and I hope to live there upon graduation.

However, GW does offer GREAT interning opportunities. I know students in D.C. schools who have done 4-5 internships. The city of Washington D.C. also offers a lot. However, I think what Washington D.C. has to offer is still very much available upon graduation or as an additional opportunity (internship).

Also, Wake Forest (in general) is simply the stronger academic institution. With all of this said, I love GW as a school too–I just think Wake Forest is better.
