I applied RD as a Political Science major. I was fairly slack my freshman and sophomore years but received all A’s my junior year and so far this year. What are my chances of being accepted?

@nicklefever, the 4 common factors of admitted Wake students I have noticed are: high GPA, top 10% or higher class rank, good Interview and the applicant shows interest in Wake (other than just applying).
Last year 89% of Wake’s admitted class were in the top 10% of their high school class. Most, but not all
interviewed with Wake and demonstrated interest in Wake (usually by taking a tour of the campus).
None of us can tell you your true chances of getting admitted to Wake; we can only point out factors we think you should be aware of and you can take it from there. You are doing great work. Keep those A’s coming and hopefully your class rank will climb along with your GPA. Good luck in your search for a college and I hope you get that special Black envelope from Wake.
@nicklefever what is your gpa and class rank? Your test score and extracurricular involvement look good, but grades clearly matter. If you are serious about Wake, definitely show interest (tour, interview). It’s great that you received all As last year! Upward trends are always good! Work on essay and other supplements because those are important too.
