I would consider myself pretty preppy. I go to a prestigous private catholic high school thats a crazy jock school. Im really athletic and I am quite the social butterfly. Although I consider myself preppy I would deffinately find dressing up for an 8AM class a HUGE turnoff.
SO to what extent is this true?

Another question...?
whats the social scene like? - What kind of stuff is there to do on campus?
I like parties and such but I deffinately wouldnt say im into the harcore partying scene..but I am deffinately not into the doing nothing either.

What are the dorms like?

In general, what is the typical WF student like, and what is the typical day for a WF student like?

You just called your self a social butterfly...thats cute

Winston Salem is very southern accent, everyone smokes basically and drinks, they are hardcore acc bball fans, the campus is small im not sure about activities

im glad i amuse you - I figured saying that im outgoing, have no problem meeting people, and talk all the time (probably even too much) didnt have as much of a ring to it :)

well being from north carolina myself, i have to say that people in winston salem do not have a southern accent... you are not going to find that in hardly any cities, even in the south

Not true, based on D's experience. Based on our times at Wake, I agree w/ hustler about the accent -- not that pronounced at all. Football is also big.

So after my first sem. at Wake, a good majority of people dress up for class
but at the same time there are def. a lot of people in sweats and hoodies
especially for 8am classes.

The social scene is great! Most people do go out, but you are in total control of when you
go out. Of course there are those that don't really go out and those that party too hard.
I found myself partying at least once a week. Many weeks more than one and certain
weeks I chose to keep it chill on campus.

Yes, sports are big here and no southern accents are uncommon.
in my hall of 18 guys, oh 6 actually come from southern states,
and no they dont have the accents that come with it.
