Wake Up!

This forum is getting awefully silent! Calling all the Richmond Dreamers! Calling all the Richmond Dreamers!

Hi blip-
yes, this forum is very silent. Not many people here applying to Richmond I suppose. It is a smaller school. When I applied ED2, I was looking for info from ED1 applicants, but no one responded. Looks like many more people here for RD. I've been accepted and it's a huge relief. There were many kids from my HS that applied both RD and ED2. No one else has been accepted so far, but their SATs and GPA were not as good. A number of kids who applied to the Ivys (1500+ SATs and amazing GPAs) have applied to Richmond as a safety school, the'll probably be accepted and attend if they don't get into their Ivy choices. Also, a huge number of kids fom my area apply, so it's very competitive. That's why I did ED2, I didn't want to risk it. I've seen your stats in prior posts, looks like you have a great shot at getting into UR, but it's not your first choice right? Where are you from?

I am from Nepal. Well, to tell you the truth it is my first choice. I'm not one of those ivy philliacs (no offense) and applied to Urichmond with careful consideration of the institution. No one from my high school, the most reputed one in the country, has applied to this place. Thank you for your good wishes and I congratulate you on your acceptance to this gr8 place. And where are you from? :)

blip- I'm from New Jersey. That's sooo cool that you're from Nepal, how did you find out about Richmond? Have you been able to visit? It is a beautiful campus.

Nope...not been able to visit it! But when I went thru the University's website I had this gutt feeling tht I did really belong there!

Hi blip, good luck. It is really cool that you are coming all the way from Nepal! Don't worry, you'll love the campus! Do you know what you want to study? :)

I am thinking about taking Physics .....well that is my intended major. But guys, I am not in yet. I have just applied, haven't got the decision..and am not so sure abt I getting in!

yeah im with blip, everything will be truely decided in april

blip- just curious, do you live in Kathmandu? Nepal is a very remote place, do many students from your area come here?

I live in Kathmandu....and it's not that remote...from the avaliable statistics about 300 students come to US for their studies every year.
