Like every normal teenager I /hate/ it.
Beds are comfy the outside world is painfully cold.
When, however, I am up I tend to actually do things-- which is nice.
I got out to the horsefarm today at 6m sent the email for that internship I want, and am now reading through judicial information looking for a PSAT prep book.
So how about the rest of you?
Early raisers or no?

I wake up at 5:15 everyday to workout

During the summer, no. I sleep as much as possible. During the school year, though, I wake up at 5 am.

^ School year I have to.
It’s really upsetting probably where my passionate hatred for mornings came from

I like waking up early. The rest of the world (except Starbucks and other places) is still asleep, so I get to enjoy peace and calm. I get to school an hour before it starts every day, and I really like how I get basically 40 minutes to myself to read or whatever.

I am not a morning person AT ALL, so I sleep in as much as possible on school days without causing myself to be late (so around 6:45). However, during the summer and on weekends, my mom forces me to get up no later than 8 :(. When she’s not around, though, I sleep in until 10 or 11 and go to bed at 2 or 3 am.

I don’t mind waking early. I can’t sleep past 8 anyways.

I like the concept of waking up early, because it makes me feel more productive and makes the day feel longer. it’s just really hard for me to wake up early.

i don’t like waking up early…i live 1/4 mile from my high school and i walk everyday so i can get up pretty late (around 7) but even then, it feels late compared to summer and everything. sometimes i get up at 6 if i have to practice something before school, but getting up at 5am must really suck, sorry!!

During the summer, if I know I have something to do, sans working out, I’ll wake up accordingly. Otherwise, I end up waking up at noon :p

During the school year… I wake up at 6. >_>

I like waking up early and don’t sleep past 8 ever.
And to those of you who want it to be easier to wake up-- there’s a ton of advice online. What worked for me was exercising a lot on day 1, getting really tired and going to bed around 9, and then waking up early was a lot easier.

Also, look into REM cycles. Or try setting an alarm exactly 8 hours after you’ll be asleep. It should be easier to get up.

I usually wake up at about 6:50 AM during the school year, but I wake up whenever I want during vacations.

I might consider waking up earlier so I have some time to study/review material for my classes.

I suck at waking up… during the summer I stay up until like 5 or 6 and don’t wake up until late… which makes me feel MAJORLY unproductive. During the school year, I wake up as late as I can without being late… usually around 6:30

I hit the bed at 9:30 on schooldays, but the problem is that I can’t fall asleep until half an hour or an hour later. Even if I’m exhausted, I still lay in bed for a long time before I can fall asleep. I wake up at 6 on schooldays, but on the weekends I try to get up before 9 so I can feel atleast a little bit productive. During the summer, I sleep until I have fulfilled my desire to sleep.

I go to bed at 2-3 and get up at 11ish during the summer. I keep not wanting to go to bed early and I keep putting it off. (I find other things to do. Lately it’s been working on the Common App.) I’d love to stop procrastinating and get to bed early, but I’m just not motivated enough, lol.

I feel so unproductive when I wake up late (which I consider past 10) but I looove to sleep. My bed is so comfy and ahh I could sleep my life away if I really wanted to. During the school year I wake up as late I can without being late for school…soo I shower at night, lay out my clothes, put all my homework and books in my backpack, set out my breakfast, etc. so all I have to do in the morning is put on clothes, brush my hair and teeth, put on makeup contacts, etc. eat breakfast and go. I live 5 minutes away from school without traffic but since the entrances to school are set up annoyingly, it gets so backed up that it takes 40 minutes to get there. Sigh…i could spend that extra time sleeping.

Lately as I’m drawing closer and closer to the end of my summer, I’ve been waking up super early everyday. I think my body has had enough sleep to last me through the school year and is bored with it altogether.

I actually get headaches if I sleep for too long, and prefer morning classes anyways because then I have the rest of the day to myself :)

During the summer I wake up at 5ish so I can run and then get to training. During the school year I used to wake up also around 5, so I could workout, shower, get ready, and be at school around 7, about an hour before it started. My friend and I would bring breakfast and go to the art room and work on projects and stuff; much better than being home. I’m definitely a night person but I also really like the mornings. It’s easy for me to wake up no matter how little sleep I got the night before.

Ugh, this is the first summer where I’ve been sleeping in until like 12pm on a regular basis and going to bed at like 4 or 5am. I used to guilt trip myself for no apparent reason when I did this, but now I’m kind of going with the flow and just dreading how much it’s going to suck when I try to resume a regular schedule when school restarts. I’m not a morning person by any means. I’m way more productive when I wake up earlier, but I can also be rather productive late at night, so touche. (and I just HATE early rises) My school year sleep schedule isn’t great either, though. I usually go to bed between 12:30 and 1:30am and I wake up at 6:30am… I envy you guys who have these great, organized sleep schedules! I have no self discipline.

Ew, I hate waking up early. This entire summer, I’ve been going to bed at like 4-5AM (on average) and waking up at like 1-2PM, which isn’t good. I usually like waking up around 11AM, because it’s late enough that everyone in the house is usually up, but not too late. I’m weird–I actually feel just as exhausted on 4 hours of sleep as I do on 8 hours of sleep. It’s only when I get 9-10+ that I feel well rested. But when school starts, I’ll have to get up at 6AM. :(
