Can you do that?

For instance, if you need one class but can't make it by spring semester...can you take summer school at Berkeley and take those classes and walk in Spring?

Also, can you attend other UC other than Berkeley to do that?
For instance, if you need like technical upper division course...can you attend UCLA per se?

yes absolutely. As long as you are close you can walk at commencement. you choose which semester you put yourself on the degree list - so you would take spring without being on the list, add yourself to the list when taking the summer class, and then at the end of that semester they will verify everything and you graduate.

Don’t think your last semester can be somewhere else - you have to be in residence the semester when you go on the list.

Here is the L&S discussion of walking before your last official semester: [Office of Undergraduate Advising: Graduation](http://ls-advise.berkeley.edu/graduation/graduation.html)

Do not confuse official graduation with commencement ceremonies! Most departments allow students to “walk” in commencement ceremonies who have yet to complete all their degree requirements. It is not necessary to place yourself on a degree list in order to participate in that term’s commencement ceremonies. In many cases, majors will allow students with some requirements outstanding to participate in commencement exercises. If you have not finished all your requirements but wish to participate in your major’s ceremony, check with your Undergraduate Major Advisor. Above all, make sure to have a plan for fulfilling those last outstanding requirements, and make sure to add yourself to the degree list for the term in which you complete them.
