I heard in one of the threads here that if u are the caliber of person who is accepted, you will likely be able to play? Was this meant “play” as in intramural, or could you walk on? For example, I am a very good baller, at 6-2 who can dunk, but I have only been checked out by SIT…would I have a chance to play for the D1 Ivies? Like at Caltech anyone with any level of skill can walk on, but isnt it different?

Anyone have any info or experience?

If you are a good player who just happened to get in but not by recruiting you have a chance. But if by "walkon" you are implying that you do not have abackground or demonstrated skill in the sport then it is very unlikely.

Inopa-Ivy schools have JV basketball teams, so there's a much better chance of being able to walk on than on a D1 school without a JV team. You might want to see if you can find the coach's email and send him a message asking about how many players were non-recruited (and maybe asking if you are good enough to be recruited). Good luck!
