Wall of Shame/Rejection Wall

At my public high school, it is tradition every year for seniors to post up their rejection letters. Of course not all of the students partake but a substantial number do, and its fun to go over and read the many letters from a wide variety of schools. Do kids at any other school do this???

yep we have this at my school. although the ED round was very disappointing because no one put up their letters. but it will be great when the RD letters come in :)

back in high school, they did it. However, many people don't post them up .

Do they cross out their names on the things or let those hang out too?

Let's start a rejection wall here. I will open one.

oh we should. im sure i will have atleast 6-8.

I wish people at my school would consider doing that.

I feel alienated......

I have none yet =(.... =D

At my school, the seniors do a joint ice cream and bonfire rejection party. They burn the rejection letters. And to "cool" things down, they have some ice cream and celebrate.

it would be fun if someone can make an online (visual) rejection wall, I think that'd be more visual and fun ot post on than replying in a post. hmm.. now only if I have the time this month..

I'd put together (design/code) an online rejection wall provided someone supplies a host. I have my own, but it won't hold under the weight of the cc crowd.

LOL kchen...I would've loved to burn my Wharton rejection letter.

hey i wanna do that at my school. sounds like fun!!!

You know when I apply next year, if/when I get a rejection letter or two, I'm gonna write one right back to em...or would they blacklist me to other schools for that kind of deed?

A you can't reject me cause I'm rejecting YOU type deal? :p

Don't take it that personally. It's understandable to be (extremely) upset, but I don't see what good can come out of writing a snarky and/or bitter letter back to the admissions committee.

Better yet, you could write them an anonymous letter saying their rejection drove you to commit suicide

I hope you're not serious. =/

one person at our school put up an acceptance letter to UC Berkeley on the wall of shame. i guess he didn't think of that school very highly.

we tried to start a rejection wall, but it doesn't seem to be working at our school. people seem to be far too competitive
