wanna increase my chances

I want to get accepted into the University of Florida. I'm only a sophomore now..I kinda messed up freshman year.

I was taking four honors classes in freshman year..I didn't do to well so my gpa was a 2.583 unweighted/3.250 weighted.

In sophomore year I only took one honors and one AP, but for the first two quarters I got 2 As and 4 Bs each quarter, which raised my gpa to 2.83/3.44. Then in the third quarter I got straight A's, and I have mostly As this quarter, so my gpa should be even higher when they calculate it again at the end of the year...

Next year I'm taking two Aps and three honors, and I've become a serious student again and hope to continue getting the grades I'm getting right now.

My PSAT scores were: 520 Math, 550 Reading, 650 Writing

I've only done 9 community service hours but I plan on doing more..

So what are my chances of getting in right now, and what can I do to improve those chances (As I'm sure they're not very high...)?

Community service doesn't matter for admissions, just for your getting the Bright Futures scholarship and merit aid like the Lombardi Scholarship.

UF admission is based on grades and SAT and state of residence (with Floridians having a major advantage). The higher you are able to get your gpa and scores, the greater will be your chances of admissions.

Oh okay. I'm trying to get my weighted gpa above a four..I just hope that's enough.

I heard UF looks at community service hours tho...
