wanna transfer

Hi.. Im entering my second year in college. Im out-of-state meaning that i have to face that big fee. i was thinking about transferring to a college back home in the spring, but im not sure how would i go about doing that. I recieve financial aid as well as loans, idk whether i could cancel the loans for the next semester or not. Also, when i filled out my fafsa, i didnt put dwn the other college i was considering transferring to. I really don't know what i should do....and i also live off-campus too!! which is much cheaper than staying on campus ironically...and idk if cancelling a lease is possible...anyone that post thanks in advance for input.

What state are you from? I can believe its cheaper to live off campus, people who live in Boston say that in MA anyways… maybe you should check out some of the schools that you put on your FAFSA…

If you transfer, the financial aid office at the new institution will help you arrange to have loans move with you. Contact the financial aid office at that university to find out how to start the process.

Whether or not you can get out of your off-campus lease depends on your landlord and/or your housemates. You need to sit down and read through your lease documents. If you can’t understand them, find someone in the off-campus housing information office at your current university who does.

Good luck!
