Pay your child a few hundred $'s for every improvement in overall point score. Increase the amount every 3 points. In most cases, scholarship money increases too. Everyone wins! Go from a 26 to a 32 and look at the scholarship difference. When money "in their pocket" is on the line, most students study harder...a lot harder</p>
<p>I’ve never been a believer in paying for grades, even less so for scores. Just tell them that they have to attend the local CC if the score isn’t high enough…</p>

Sometimes it seems as if the child does not understand the gravity of the choices they are making at such a young age.
I am OK with bribes to get results until the child can fully understand the consequences of their decisions.</p>
<p>It’s not a bribe. You are paying the child a portion of the expected financial return of their work - that’s only fair, isn’t it? ;)</p>
